Beverage behemoth Coca‑Cola has announced an eight-year renewal of its long-term global partnership with the Special Olympics.
Under the agreement, Coca‑Cola—a founding partner of the Special Olympics since its inception in 1968— will continue to support Special Olympics programs, athletes, and events globally through monetary and in-kind donations, volunteer support, and marketing initiatives till 2031.
Besides flagship Special Olympics events, Coca-Cola will continue to support local Special Olympics competitions and programs every year.
The 2025 Special Olympics Winter Games will be held in Turin, Italy, and the 2027 Summer Games will take place in Santiago, Chile.
According to ASN data, Coca-Cola (75%, US$401.5m+) has dominated the Asian sponsorship market since Q321, and has a quarterly average investment of US$34.1m+ during this period. However, the beverage behemoth’s spends have plummeted in Q124 to a mere US$858k and is forecasted to reach almost US$9.2m in Q224.
