Blackpink artist Jisoo has sealed a major endorsement deal with luxury fashion house Christian Dior as the brand’s latest global ambassador for fashion and beauty.
Representing Dior across both fashion and beauty, the 26-year-old K-pop idol encapsulates the spirit of “liberated femininity channeled and portrayed by Maria Grazia Chiuri,” and the feeling of truly understanding oneself, the brand echoed in a statement.
The announcement was shared in the build up to Dior’s AW21 collection at Paris Fashion Week earlier this week, which was staged in the Galerie des Glaces at the Palace of Versailles.
The fresh endorsement comes as Dior’s creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri claimed that Jisoo was one of the main muses behind the luxury house’s recent show, Disturbing Beauty.
While Jisoo has been a loyal fan of Dior for some time, often donning the signature monogrammed print to her audience of 37 million Instagram followers, the partnership confirms a long-standing, shared appreciation between the singer and designer. She joins the likes of Rihanna, Natalie Portman and Marion Cotillard on Dior’s books.
Blackpink fans are just as aware that their idols are into the world of luxury fashion; Rose became an official Saint Laurent ambassador last year, while Lisa scored a lucrative endorsement deal with Celine, and Jennie partnered Chanel in late 2020.
