South Korean Olympic shooter Kim Ye-Ji continues to be trailblazer in the endorsement world.
After becoming Tesla’s first celebrity endorser last month, the 32-year-old Olympic silver medallist and viral sensation has now added another lucrative feather to her cap; scoring a deal with Kering owned luxury brand Balenciaga.
As part of the deal, Kim Ye-Ji played a pivotal role in This Is A Balenciaga campaign by famous photographer Juergen Teller in Paris, which also featured Romeo Beckham and German singer Kim Petras.
According to ASN data, Kering—the parent company of Balenciaga—has invested a mere US$1.6m across the Asian sponsorship landscape since Q122, with a quarterly average spend of US$130k during this period.
The deals ranging between US$134k and US$282k are focused on Chinese celebrity endorsements in the entertainment world, a time-tested strategy Balenciaga is deploying with the Kim Ye-Ji collaboration.
