With Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan on a Lifebuoy endorsement deal, it is likely the skipper’s influence would have pushed the deal in such short notice.
Unilever has been rather quiet in the Bangladesh sponsorship market apart from All Things Hair, a brand-owned content collaboration with the nation’s beauty vloggers last year. In fact, the US$200k content deal was withdrawn this season, with the company preferring more traditional routes to engage with its audiences.
