JW Marriott has negotiated a deal to make Bollywood icon Aishwarya Rai Bachchan its Global Brand Ambassador.
Through the partnership, the 52-year-old star is all poised to be the face of the hospitality giant’s global “Stay in the Moment” platform, cementing its philosophy of intentional luxury and holistic well-being.
The move comes in as India continues to emerge as a key driver of global travel growth, with increasing outbound luxury travel and rising demand for premium domestic experiences.
With over 130 properties globally, JW Marriott sees India among its most dynamic markets, supported by a strong development pipeline and growing consumer appetite for meaningful, experience-led travel.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s endorsement aligns seamlessly with JW Marriott’s vision as she has been a key influencer for India on the global stage across cinema, fashion, philanthropy, and international cultural platforms.
Bruce Rohr, Vice President and Global Brand Leader, JW Marriott, stated, “Aishwarya’s global stature, warmth, and authenticity make her a natural embodiment of JW Marriott and an ideal partner for the brand. She brings a thoughtful, grounded presence that reflects the way our guests seek to travel – with intention and a sense of connection. As we continue to expand in India and across markets shaped by Indian travellers, this collaboration reinforces our commitment to celebrating presence as the ultimate in luxury experiences.”
As Global Brand Ambassador, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is set to star across international marketing campaigns and storytelling initiatives spanning film, print, and digital platforms. She will also be involved in curated brand experiences across India and select international markets. The creative narrative is poised to centre on moments of reflection, connection, and quiet sophistication within JW Marriott properties, showcasing environments designed to foster calm, clarity, and well-being.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan added, “Travel has always been an important part of my life, both personally and professionally. The most meaningful experiences are often the quietest ones, when you are fully aware of where you are and who you are with. JW Marriott’s philosophy of being present and in the moment speaks to that awareness. I am honoured to represent a brand that values presence and purpose in equal measure.”
According to ASN data, Marriott has invested US$408k in the Asian sponsorship market since Q323, with a quarterly average investment of US$34k during this period. However, spends have nosedived to zero since Q125, and the latest endorsement with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is certain to push investment up positively. Historically, the deals tend to be in region of US$100k+ and focused in golf, athletics and celebrity endorsements.
