India’s Apollo Hospitals has made South Indian music director Anirudh Ravichander as the celebrity endorser for ProHealth, its AI-powered personalised preventive healthcare program.
Under the deal, Apollo Hospitals has rolled out a culturally resonant nationwide campaign starring the popular 35-year-old music director, targeting younger audiences to adopt preventive care as an essential healthy lifestyle priority rather than a reactive measure.
The campaign shot by filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon will be rolled out nationally across print, digital, television, FM radio, social media, outdoor advertising, cinema theatres, and Apollo’s healthcare ecosystem, with a particular focus on youth and young working professionals.
The move comes in at a timely point as a recent Apollo report mentioned a rise in lifestyle-related health risks such as obesity, prehypertension, and early diabetes markers among young corporate professionals due to their demanding work schedules, irregular routines, poor sleep, stress, and digitally driven lifestyles.
Sindoori Reddy, Director – Strategy, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd, stated, “Anirudh’s energy and cultural currency make him the definitive voice to lead this behavioural shift. With non-communicable diseases (NCDs) rising sharply among young people, early intervention is critical. ProHealth reflects our brand’s evolution: shifting the consumer mindset from reactive illness management to proactive lifestyle ownership by putting predictive AI directly in their hands.”
Anirudh Ravichander added, “Health is something we often take for granted until it demands our attention. ProHealth makes it easy to understand your health and stay ahead of risks. I am proud to partner with Apollo Hospitals to help more people choose preventive care and invest in their long-term well-being.”
According to ASN data, Apollo Hospitals has been rather muted in the Asia sponsorship market since Q220 after withdrawing its partnership with IPL team Sunrisers Hyderabad. Prior to that, it had deals ranging between US$38k and US$200k with various IPL, ISL and PKL teams. The endorsement with a youth icon like Anirudh Ravichander is likely to trigger more smart investment from India’s first corporate hospital.
