Popular footwear brand Skechers has secured a deal with Mohun Bagan Super Giant, one of India’s biggest football clubs.
The landmark partnership will see Skechers become the official kit partner of the Indian Super League (ISL) club, providing the team with high performance match kits, training attire, and lifestyle apparel.
The mutually beneficial partnership will see Skechers— famed for its innovative and comfortable footwear— equip the Mohun Bagan Super Giant players with the latest technology to boost their on-pitch performances. Meanwhile, the club’s storied history and passionate fan base is the perfect opportunity for Skechers to nurture the beautiful game in India.

According to ASN data, Skechers (1.2%, ~US$3.8m) is just outside the top 10 spenders for its category in the Asian sponsorship market since Q122, with a quarterly average investment of US$329k during this period. South Korea (25%), China (22.3%), Singapore (19.5%) and India (16.2%) are the four main markets the brand invests its sponsorship spends—with an assortment of deals from celebrity endorsements, music concerts and sporting events, namely in athletics and golf— spanning between US$50k and US$525k.
In recent times, Skechers has been busy in the Indian market clinching endorsement deals with cricketers Ishan Kishan and Yastika Bhatia, and football icon Sunil Chhetri. Besides these deals, it also has partnerships with IPL and WPL franchise Mumbai Indians and the All India Pickleball.
