Payments behemoth Visa has recently expanded its association with the Oracle Red Bull Racing F1 team.
Under the expanded deal, Visa’s branding has been on the front wing of the RB21 race cars beginning from last weekend’s Monaco Grand Prix. Apart from this branding, Visa Infinite will also be displayed on the Oracle Red Bull Racing driver polos and the RB21 for important races throughout the season.
The newly unveiled pact enhancement is followed by Visa’s title agreement with Red Bull’s Visa Cash App Racing Bulls team.
Christian Horner, Team Principal and Chief Executive of Red Bull Racing, stated, “Visa has been a fantastic team partner, and we are thrilled to continue our valued partnership in an enhanced capacity from Monaco onwards. We are proud of the long-term and trusted partner relationships that we’ve built with some of the world’s largest brands that have become part of our loyal family of partners.”
“This increased commitment further shows the trust in the culture and performance that Oracle Red Bull Racing is producing both on and off the track. It will be great to see the Visa front wing branding roll out in Monaco for the first time and continue throughout the season.”
According to ASN data, Visa (4.2%, ~US$10m) is the 6th highest investor for its category in the Asian sponsorship market since Q322, with an average quarterly investment of almost US$854k. The brand’s biggest deals are backing the AFC Champions League (US$1.1m+) and Mitsui Sumitomo Visa Taiheyo Masters Golf (US$1.3m).
