The world’s biggest crypto games and sportsbook brand Stake has clinched a partnership with MMA entity Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
The deal sees Stake as the official betting partner of the UFC in Asia, introducing a new era of enhanced betting experiences for MMA fans.
The collaboration will be more than mere sponsorship, diving into the realm of co-branded content creation across digital and social media platforms. More UFC fighters are also set follow the route of the much vaunted Israel Adesanya who became a Stake ambassador in 2021, the landmark deal that saw a crypto brand enter the MMA arena.
Nick Smith, UFC Vice President of Global Partnerships, stated of the new deal,“We’re thrilled to partner with an exciting and emerging brand like Stake to offer exclusive digital and social content to our fans, as well as an innovative gaming experience.”
According to ASN data, Stake (9.9%, ~US$34.6m) is the second largest spender for its category in the Asian sponsorship market since Q121. The brand’s quarterly average investment during this period has been almost US$3.1m, however, Q124 is tipped to increase by almost 2.14x to over US$6.6m.
Apart from major deals Premier League club Everton FC (~US$2.6m) and FIVB Volleyball National League (US$1m), it also has a Formula 1 title partnership deal reportedly in the US$10m range with team Sauber.
