Thailand has won the bid to host the 20th edition of FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Championship 2025. Thirty-two teams will descend on the capital to contest the title, up from 24 teams on previous years. Due to the increasing popularity of volleyball, the event will also be the first to be held biannually, instead of every four years as was previously the case.
Plans to add Volleyball Nations League (VNL) and Beach Pro Tour tournaments to the 2025 Thailand schedule are currently underway and announcements will follow.
This is the third consecutive year that Volleyball World has appointed Paul Poole (South East Asia) Co., Ltd to manage commercial sponsorship and partnership marketing for their tournaments in Thailand.
Paul Poole, Founder, Managing Director and Chairman of Paul Poole (South East Asia) Co., Ltd., said: “It’s a pleasure to once again be working with Volleyball World on such high profile events. Volleyball is one of the fastest growing sports in Thailand and we are excited to continue this partnership to support this growth.”
Finn Taylor, CEO of Volleyball World, said: “We are pleased to work with Paul and his team and continue to bring world-class volleyball events to Thailand and beyond. They provide just the support we need to drive this sport and engage with an ever-growing audience.”
