Global sports brand Fila has sealed a deal to sponsor the Korea Volleyball Federation, replacing long-term kit suppliers Asics.
Fila Korea, which is now an official sponsor through the agreement, will provide clothing and supplies until 2023. The deal will see referees, match scorers, and officials of professional volleyball managed by the federation supplied with clothing, shoes, and accessories from the brand.
Male and female players selected for the yet to be confirmed All-Star Game will also wear Fila match kits and training apparel to participate in the game. Fila Korea has previously supported domestic professional volleyball teams in the country, including Korean Air Jumbos.
Fila Korea, acquired the global Fila brand in 2007 and now operates in more than 70 countries. The brand is growing in Asian markets such as China, where Fila Korea has a 15-per-cent stake in a joint venture with Chinese sports brand Anta.
