Indian packaged drinking water brand Bisleri has secured a three-year partnership with the HSBC Rugby Premier League (RPL).
Under the deal, Bisleri reprises its role as the league’s official hydration partner, beginning from Season 2, which runs between June 16th and 28th in Hyderabad’s Gachibowli Stadium.
Expanding on the success of last year’s debut season and boosted by the addition of women’s franchises in Hyderabad this year, the partnership with one of India’s most trusted packaged drinking water companies will also see the launch of new, digital-first advertising. These efforts seek to boost fan interaction and improve the entire league experience, resulting in a more dynamic and exciting spectacle over the following three seasons, starting with Season 2.
The partnership will also include on-the-ground activations, increased in-stadium experiences, and community-driven projects aimed at expanding the league’s reach and engaging a larger audience.
Tushar Malhotra, Director – Sales & Marketing, Bisleri International Pvt. Ltd, said, “We are proud to partner with the HSBC Rugby Premier League at an exciting phase of its growth. Over the next three years, we look forward to supporting both men’s and women’s players while contributing to the development of rugby in India. As the sport continues to build momentum, this partnership gives us an opportunity to strengthen our association with Indian sport and reinforce the importance of hydration and athlete wellness.”
According to ASN data, Bisleri (4.9%, US$2.6m+) is the 4th largest sponsor for its category in the Asian sponsorship market since Q323, with a quarterly average investment of US$220k during this period. However, sponsorship investment has plummeted between zero and US$131k since Q125, and its latest deal with the RPL is certain to boost its investment figures for Q226. The brand’s deals range between US$30k and US$525k in a wide range of sporting partnerships.
