Dubai-based global logistics major DP World has expanded its long-term title sponsorship deal with the DP World Tour Championship until 2035.
The renewal cements DP World’s dual role as both title partner and official logistics partner of the Tour, showcasing the deep ties between global trade and golf.
Under the expanded deal, DP World will continue its title sponsorship of the season-ending DP World Tour Championship in Dubai until 2035, while also becoming an official partner at 15 tournaments per season.
The expanded deal highlights the company’s growing clout within professional golf, with its logistics expertise supporting the movement of equipment, infrastructure, and operational assets across continents.
The DP World Tour stated the agreement as the largest partnership in its history, providing long-term financial stability and strategic continuity across its 40-plus tournaments in 26 countries.
Guy Kinnings, Chief Executive Officer of the DP World Tour, stated,“The first stage of our landmark Title Partner relationship has been focused on raising awareness globally of the DP World brand and building a strong pipeline of new business leads for their sector-leading services. Over the past four years, that has been a tremendous success. The partnership has also evolved and will see DP World continue to become an integral cog in delivering our global tournament schedule, utilising their supply chain expertise.”
“This is a truly integrated partnership that will continue to deepen over the next decade. This agreement also shows the continued strength of the DP World Tour, which is enjoying growth in our fan base and spectator numbers, as well as our partnership portfolio. DP World’s decision to invest in the DP World Tour for another decade is further proof that the DP World Tour is going from strength to strength.”
Yuvraj Narayan, Group Deputy CEO & Chief Financial Officer of DP World, added, “Our partnership with the DP World Tour reflects how sport can connect markets and communities, just as we do through global trade. This long-term investment demonstrates our belief in the Tour’s future and our commitment to making golf more inclusive and sustainable. New events such as the recent DP World India Championship show how we are supporting the game’s growth and accessibility for the long term.”
A pivotal focus of the expanded deal involves the golf series moving into emerging markets, namely India. The DP World India Championship is poised to return next year, strengthening both the Tour’s ambitions and DP World’s infrastructure and trade interests in the region.
DP World’s logistical acumen is poised to play a role in ensuring the seamless efficiency and sustainability of the Tour’s operations in hosting tournaments across the globe. The long-term nature of the partnership also ensures greater investment in player development, event innovation, and market expansion, helping the Tour maintain competitiveness in the global golf tournament scene.
The partnership also further strengthens Dubai’s status as a global hub for golf, with the DP World Tour Championship continuing to attract elite golfers and broad audiences.
