Ahead of the upcoming IPL season, CVC Capital Partners owned franchise Gujarat Titans have secured a principal shirt sponsorship deal with Indian fantasy sports platform Dream11.
The Titans— whose first IPL season was in 2022—will now don the Dream11 logo on their match shirts during the upcoming season, which will run from late March to late May.
The latest deal is an extension of the previous tie-up between the Ahmedabad-based Titans and Dream11, with the fantasy sports platform serving as an official partner last season in a deal reportedly worth US$150k.
Following the deal, Colonel Arvinder Singh, COO, Gujarat Titans, said, “Dream11 shares our commitment to enriching the fan experience and ensuring excellence in sports. The partnership with Dream11 will enhance the cricketing experience for our growing fanbase who are driven by their passion for the game. We will work with Dream11 to create unique experiences and riveting moments backed by technology to create a lasting legacy for our fans.”
According to ASN data, Dream 11 has dominated sponsorship investment for its category in the Asian sponsorship market since Q221 with a 91.7 % share, spending almost US$93.2m during this period. Most of its big deals are in the Indian cricket and football landscape, including its two biggest; a US$15m tie-up with the Indian National Cricket team and US$8m investment with the ICC. It also has deals with both the IPL and WPL.
