As part of the deal, SilkPro will receive branding on the back of the player’s shirts when they compete in the Malaysia Super League, Malaysia Cup and Malaysian FA Cup.
SilkPro is manufactured by Tohtonku and according to its chief executive officer, Calvin Lee, the sponsorship of the Lions fits into the company’s annual CSR program.
He said the company picked football because it is the most popular sport in Singapore and because of the return of M-League and the Malaysia Cup to local stadiums.
The deal follows on from a major sponsorship announced last week with broadcaster Starhub.
