With the 2023 IPL season kicking off on March 31, let’s have a rundown of all the key sponsorship deals of the richest T20 cricket tournament in the world so far. According to reports, the IPL had surpassed US$126.1m in central sponsorship revenue last year.
*Estimated deal valuations in brackets.
This season, the TATA Group (US$17m) is the title sponsor while Dream11, Saudi Tourism Authority (US$7.25m), Cred, Upstox (US$5.5m), RuPay (US$9m), and Swiggy Instamart (US$6.6m) are the official partners.
This season will be a first of BCCI’s IPL broadcast rights with multiple partners. The likes of Disney, Star, Viacom 18 and Times Internet are paying a combined US$6.2 billion to broadcast the IPL until 2027. This means the media rights value per match is the highest of any Asian sporting league, and trails only the NFL in the global landscape.
